Why 15 weeks?

The course, originally designed by the late Len Keating, is designed to be completed in 15 weeks. Week 16 is set aside for the students and tutor to have a social get-together, ideally at the home or in the community of the tutor. May this be the start of many friendships!

How much does it cost?

Number of students in the group Fee per student
1 R3000
2 R2200
3-5 R1800
6-10 R1600

Each student also receives a CD in week 3, the cost of which is included in the total amount.

Is tutoring safe?

Safety is of highest importance to Imbeko.

  1. Tutors are required to get police clearance from the SAPS, before even having access to the market.
  2. For your or a tutors first lesson, an accredited Imbeko representative can be requested to attend the beginning of the lesson to introduce both parties.
  3. The entire system is built on ratings, a low rated tutor will not receive more bookings.

The higher you are rated by your students, the more likely you are to get more bookings!

You will be paid out every Wednesday for the previous week's lessons

How do I get safety clearance?

It is part of Imbeko’s policy that you require Police Clearance, which can be done at your local police station for R96 + postage (+- R100). This can take 4-8 weeks.
